Dark Wilds is an independent eco conscious clothing boutique based in central Portugal, established in 2009.
The brand was created by Rara Matthews whose affinity for earthy and minimalist aesthetics are reflected in her designs with all garments and accessories being worked and handmade personally by her in limited edition runs.
Zero waste and all natural deadstock fabrics sourced locally are of importance.
The deep, rich and earthy hues are an important part of the design process - a combination of plants and minerals together with environmentally friendly low impact dyes are used to create unique shades.

5 out of 5 starsI love this top so much! The material and make are both excellent. My one slight qualm is that for XS I anticipated it to be a bit smaller due to the general sizing info provided, but this expectation could have been corrected if I had messed the seller with questions beforehand I’m sure. It fits as if it’s a small which is still totally acceptable with my body type!

5 out of 5 starsThis top was gorgeous. Note that the photos of item might represent it as a slightly darker color, but it was beautiful, sturdy, and soft. Because of the fabric type I would size down, vs ordering true to your size. Highly recommend this seller

Raw organic materials arriving in the studio are washed, sorted, labelled and stored ready for use. -
Working with dyes in the studio kitchen. I use variously natural plant dyes plus low impact dyes. -
